PEACHINC SELECTS HIGH SPEED TSP700II PRINTER FROM STAR MICRONICS FOR MOBILE SMS/TEXT TICKETING KIOSK SOLUTION

Peachinc is a UK based technology company that has developed a completely new mobile SMS/Text ticketing solution for football clubs, theatres, cinemas, concerts and sports and corporate events.

Customers have the choice of having their mobile/text tickets delivered instantly or sent by email, printed or delivered by post. Mobile tickets can be sent direct to a mobile phone in the form of a unique barcode, stored on a pda, ipod or mp3 player. Once the ticket is scanned at the venue it is cancelled thus preventing the risk of fraud. Customers have access to the online and telephone booking service 24 hours a day with the opportunity to purchase mobile tickets minutes before an event.

At events, customers place their mobile phone, ipod/pda, etc. in a Peach self-service kiosk and a ticket is printed. Integral to the kiosk is the TSP700II printer from international printer manufacturer Star Micronics. Supplied by DED Limited, the TSP700II not only has the unique multi- functional ability to print receipts, barcodes (including QR and PDF417), labels and tickets but is also capable of printing at an outstanding 250mm/second. Further key features of this printer are its Advanced Configuration utility encompassing both simple graphic & interface management and its double density print resolution (406 x 203dpi) for high quality graphics and ID photos.

As Peter Mantock, founder of Peachinc states, “We found the TSP700II printer very easy to integrate into our kiosk and it has proved to be exceptionally easy to load.  Furthermore, we have received excellent back up in terms of software development from Star Micronics and the SMS notification when paper is low is a particularly useful additional feature. To date, the Peach kiosk has been used at events such as the Nokia Skate Almighty where over 6,000 tickets were sent out to the skaters’ mobile phones. The Peach kiosks handled access to the event in a very smooth, fast and efficient  manner. On arrival, skaters simply presented their mobile ticket to the Peach kiosk which immediately printed out their skate date and time slot.”
