PRINTER PRICES HIT ROCK-BOTTOM WITH NEW LAUNCH FROM STAR MICRONICS

Described by the company as offering thermal output for a matrix price, the TSP600 is aimed at any organisation looking for fast reliable mono or two colour receipt printing, at a budget price. So confident is the company of the TSP600's price/performance ratio, that it believes the TSP600 will quickly dominate international markets, becoming the standard receipt printer of choice.

Outputting at 100mm per second, the TSP600 will be available as of September in both autocutter and tear-bar versions (the latter being 'a first' for entry-level thermal POS printers) and will accommodate a choice 80mm or 58mm paper widths. The choice of Star white or charcoal grey casing, a power switch protector option, Logo Store, near/paper end sensors are also integral to the design, as is high-speed printing under Windows ™. This has been achieved by the combination of a fast processor linked with the new super fast Star Raster Driver, which can also automatically scale output to 80mm.
The TSP600 has also been developed to incorporate Star Micronics' 'drop-in & print' easy paper loading design, to overcome the fiddling and jamming problems so often associated with other POS printers;and the new entrant will be available with optional wall and vertical mount fitments as well as a high speed USB interface option.

The TSP600 follows Star's recent introduction of the world's fastest POS printer, the TSP700, and the TSP800: the first POS printer developed specifically for the e-commerce environment.
