THE UNIQUE TSP700 FROM STAR MICRONICS PROVIDES
PERFECT SOLUTION FOR SELCO BUILDERS WAREHOUSE

From being a modest Birmingham based timber mill Selco has grown into a rapidly expanding cash and carry style builders’ merchant with branches located across the UK.

When the company recently took the decision to upgrade its point-of-sale printers a number of key criteria had to be met. The printers had to occupy minimal space, provide good print width, an easy load feature and be easily configured. One printer that responded to these requirements was the TSP700, a unique combined barcode, label, ticket and receipt printer from leading international printer manufacturer, Star Micronics. The printer was successfully installed by UK-based distributor DED Limited and is being used for shelf edge labelling, printing barcodes and price labels.

The TSP700 is a high speed, multi-functional printer that is capable of printing 180mm/second with a throughput rpm of 39 receipts per minute. With its easy load ‘Drop In & Print’ feature and providing the option for colour output as well as the ability to print receipts or tickets using paper stock up to 0.15mm/150gsm, the TSP700 is both versatile and feature-rich. A key advantage of this printer is its unique AutoLogoTM feature that enables the instant creation of effective marketing coupons and vouchers specific to user-defined purchases.

Using WindowsTM graphics AutoLogo is easy to use and enables promotions such as special offers, seasonal sales initiatives or stock related projects to be initiated and stopped instantly, without the need for expensive software changes.
