EXPANDS ACROSS EUROPE
Furthering its commitment to Europe, Star Micronics
has expanded its sales and marketing team with a number of high
profile appointments and promotions.
Kevin Lewey has joined the company from distributor,
Alphameric, to undertake the new position of OEM sales manager.
His remit will be to develop relationships between Star, its distributors
and Europe's largest POS equipment manufacturers and systems integrators,
heightening Star's profile and presence within these markets.
Lewey is joined by Nick Harrison, who comes
in as new business manager, developing Star's distribution channels
in Russia, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Greece and the Middle East.
Harrison joins the company from Epson, where he was an account
manager for printer products and brings with him expertise in
both business development and international marketing.
Marc Ghesla, sales manager for Germany, has
been appointed following sales experience with Toshiba and previous
to that, the German distributor, Data Modul. Working with Helmut
Henning, Ghesla is now responsible for developing business in
what is now Europe's largest single market.
Supporting distributors in Continental and Northern
Europe as well as South Africa, Jennie Miller is now working with
Alan Martin in her position as international sales executive,
an internal promotion following her two-year marketing role.
These new appointments come as part of
Star's European expansion strategy and to support market demand
for the company's market defining POS printer and visual/smart
card introductions.
