TSP800 THERMAL RECEIPT PRINTER FROM STAR MICRONICS PROVES TO BE STAR PERFORMER FOR ETIQUETTE FORMAL HIRE

Etiquette Formal Hire, a family run business with over 55 years experience within the clothing industry, is the largest formal hire supplier in Europe offering a range of lines from wedding attire through to sophisticated evening dress.

The company recently took the decision to develop a touch screen POS ordering system for its customers and to standardise on the TSP800 thermal receipt printer from leading international POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics. Supplied by J2 Retail Systems, around 200 POS systems across the UK have been installed in a number of independent stores, concessions within a major department store and a menswear chain. A further 200-300 systems are to be installed nationwide.

With the need to print wide receipts containing all the necessary hire details, the TSP800 from Star Micronics was an obvious choice for Etiquette. Connected to a touch screen ordering system, the TSP800 is capable of printing 150mm/sec and features a scalable raster driver that can scale an A4 page down to virtual A6. With a print width up to 112mm and the ability to print on paper stock up to 0.15mm in thickness, the TSP800 is a highly versatile printer. Furthermore, with a compact footprint and ‘Drop-in and Print’ easy paper loading facility, the TSP800 offers a range of unique features.
